Solution 02 · Airside Operations

Everything that happens between the stand and the runway.

The airside is where an airport's punctuality and safety are decided. LAS provides and coordinates the services and equipment that surround the aircraft during its time on the ground, with predictable quality, robust safety practices and a scope tailored to each station.

Turnaround

Aircraft movements

The turnaround is the shortest and most crowded window in the whole operation: within a few minutes an aircraft has to be received, unloaded, serviced, loaded and pushed back, with several teams working around it at once. We coordinate arrival and departure, marshalling, pushback and towing, and the supervision that keeps each rotation within its slot — because a delay generated on the stand travels with the aircraft for the rest of the day.

Scope

Ramp handling

Loading and unloading, ramp-side baggage and cargo handling, aircraft cleaning, load control and weight and balance, together with the ground support equipment each operation requires.

Fuelling

Into-plane fuelling and its associated management: reception, storage, quality control and reconciliation of every uplift, under the safety procedures the activity demands.

Field maintenance

Upkeep of pavements, markings, lighting and drainage across aprons, taxiways and runways, with the equipment and the planning that keep the airfield available and the works scheduled outside peak hours.
